💙 Important Announcement from Agape Christian Academy 💙
To our cherished parents, alumni, supporters, and community members, With both heavy hearts and deep gratitude, we share that after 44 wonderful years of ministry and education, Agape Christian Academy will be closing its doors at the end of May. This decision has not been easy. Our school has been more than a building—it has been a family, a place where faith and learning grew side by side, and where countless children discovered their gifts, their confidence, and God’s love for them. We have celebrated together, prayed together, and walked through life together. For that, we are forever thankful. As we prepare for this final chapter, we want to honor the legacy of every student, teacher, staff member, volunteer, and parent who has poured into Agape over the decades. Your dedication is what made this academy a place of joy, growth, and Christ-centered excellence. The impact you have had will continue far beyond our walls. Though this season is ending, we believe with full hearts that God is not finished writing the story. We trust that He will guide our families, inspire new opportunities, and continue the work He began here in ways we may not yet see. We invite you to join us in celebrating the beautiful 44-year journey of Agape Christian Academy. Over the coming weeks, we will share memories, photos, and ways to honor our teachers and students as we close out the year together. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for walking this road with us. Agape will always live on in the lives it has touched.
We love hearing all these stories and testimonies of how our school impacted you! Please keep sharing ❤️
I'm sad to hear the news but will always cherish the moments I have from here. I came to the school my junior and senior years and came during a time that was difficult in personal life. Agape gave me a safe space to get through it all. It also gave me people who are still in my life with many of them being more than just teachers or classmates even to this day.
Oh that is so sad ❤️Will always love Agape so many childhood memories ! Glad I graduated from there class of 2011 !
Oh no, this is sad! I spent my 7-12 grade with yall 😞 do you happen to have any yearbooks left? I would totally love to grab my high school years if yall still had those!! Agape Christian Academy
So many great memories and friends were made at Agape! I hate to hear this. Bailey Wilson
I hate hearing this Agape will always hold a special place in my heart. We sure had some good times..
This makes my heart so sad! Agape shaped me in so many ways and it's where i met the 2 most amazing teachers and maybe the 2 best humans I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Marcus Humphrey and Mary Fitzgerald Humphrey. I will forever hold them and Agape in my heart! C/O 98
Sorry to hear this Agape will always have a place in my heart ,cannot thank the teachers and principals I had there I'm thankful for everything I learned and everything they did for me both in school and out ,and grateful to have went to a school that brought me closer to Jesus and taught me the Word , I will always remember my friends, teachers, and good times we all had there ,it was truly special times .
Class of 05 🤘🏻
Agape Christian Academy planted the seeds of faith in my life when I attended high school there and graduated in 2006. It will always hold a deeply special place in my heart.
Even now, I can still recite lines from Macbeth that I learned in Ms. Polly’s English class—I actually recited some to my 8th grade Old World History students just the other day. The lessons I learned at ACA have stayed with me far beyond the classroom.
But what impacted me most were the teachers. I know without a doubt that if no one else was praying for me during the difficult seasons of my life back then, they were. I went through some hard trials, and their prayers and encouragement carried me through more than they probably realized. Even today, when I reach out asking for prayer, they never hesitate.
Now, as a teacher myself, I strive to be the kind of teacher they were to me. They cared deeply, loved me even when I wasn’t always easy to love, and showed both grace and the kind of firm guidance that helped shape who I am today.
Thank you to Mrs. Denni, Ms. Polly, Mrs. Portia, Mrs. Karen, and so many others for the love, prayers, and guidance you gave me during some of the best high school years I could have ever had.
Agape Christian Academy may be closing its doors, but the seeds of faith, knowledge, and love that were planted there will continue to grow in the lives of so many students for years to come.
With love,
A grateful student — and now a teacher
